Graduation ceremony for the latest cohort of the Reserve Officer Training Course was held at the Heydar Aliyev Military Institute under the National Defense University (NDU). 
Prior to the ceremony, the NDU leadership laid wreaths at the bust of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Memorial dedicated to the Martyrs, paying tribute to the memory of the National Leader and Heroes.
The ceremony, attended by officers and faculty members, continued with a one-minute silence in honor of the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was then performed.
Addressing the ceremony, Rector of the National Defense University, Major General Gunduz Abdullov congratulated the graduates and emphasized that the military rank of "Lieutenant" conferred upon them is not merely a mark of distinction, but also a symbol of great responsibility to the Motherland, officerly honor, and unwavering fidelity to the military oath.
The Rector emphasized that, from this day forward, the graduates will join the ranks of the Azerbaijani Army's officers and are expected to justify the high trust placed in them by the state and the people by demonstrating professionalism, exemplary discipline, and unwavering patriotism throughout their military service.
Expressing their gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense for their continued attention and support, the newly commissioned officers pledged to serve the Motherland, state, and nation with honor and dedication.
Top graduate, Lieutenant Mahammad Hasanov affixed the course emblem to the symbolic stump, after which the graduates were presented with their certificates.
