On May 23, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov has met with the Major General Odd Egil Pedersen, Deputy Chief of Staff for Military Partnerships, NATO Allied Commands Operations and Transformation Directorate and Major General Erhan Uzun, Chief of Staff of NATO Allied Land Command (Izmir/Turkey).
During the meeting, Colonel General Z. Hasanov, noting the particular importance attached to Azerbaijan's cooperation with NATO, stressed that the servicemen of the Azerbaijani Army are continually participating in the NATO's programs, in particular, in Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan.
The guests, in turn, noting that Azerbaijan is an essential partner of NATO, highly appreciated the knowledge and skills of Azerbaijani officers serving in the NATO headquarters and participating in its various programs.
The guests had expressed satisfaction with high professionalism and training of the military personnel of the Azerbaijan Army and emphasized that Azerbaijani officers sharing their knowledge and experience at various events held within the framework of NATO programs are a worthy example for their colleagues from other countries.
The guests who came to our country to watch the self-evaluation level 2 (SEL-2) of the Azerbaijan Army reconnaissance company conducted within the framework of OCC expressed their confidence that, as before, this time the exercise will end successfully.
