In accordance with the plan approved by the First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, a mini-football championship among the Main Departments and Departments of the Ministry of Defense, dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of the National Leader of Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, began. 
First, the draw ceremony of the championship was held. Representatives of the participating teams, referees, and members of the commission participated in the ceremony.
It should be noted that a total of 15 teams are competing in the tournament.
The matches are officiated by serviceman of the Azerbaijan Army, referee of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), Nail Naghiyev, and the head coach for structures of Central Army Sports Club, Elnur Aliyev.
After the group stage matches are completed, the teams finishing in 1st and 2nd places in each group will advance to the semifinal stage. The winners of this stage will compete in the final match for the championship.
At the end, the winning teams will be awarded.
