The personnel of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited the Second Alley of Shehids on the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of the Tovuz battles.
Flowers were laid at the graves of Azerbaijan National Heroes Major General Polad Hashimov, and Colonel Ilgar Mirzayev, who became Shehids (Martyrs) during the Tovuz battles, as well as the sons of the Motherland, who became Shehids (Martyrs) during the battles for the restoration of the territorial integrity and the liberation of Azerbaijani historical territories.
The memory of Shehids was honored with observing a minute of silence and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan accompanied by the military orchestra was performed.
At the event, it was spoken about the eternity of Shehids' memory and emphasized that their blessed memory will be always honored.
In the end, the Chiefs of the Departments of the Defense Ministry met with Shehids' families and enquired about their concerns. The Shehid families, in turn, expressed their deep gratitude to the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Ilham Aliyev and the Defense Ministry’s leadership for the attention and care.
