Military pentathlon competitions were held in the Nakhchivan garrison. The Special Forces of the Combined Arms Army distinguished themselves in the competitions.
90 athletes from 15 teams competed in the championship held to check the physical and psychological stamina of the servicemen and to determine the strong teams.
Military athletes competed in overcoming an obstacle course, shooting from an automatic rifle at a distance of 200 meters, throwing a grenade at a range and accuracy, running at a distance of 8 kilometers over rough terrain and various types of swimming.
According to the general results, in the team competition, the Special Forces took the 1st place, the servicemen of the Separate operational brigade "Nakhchivan" of the Internal Troops – the 2nd place, and the servicemen from the motorized rifle units – the 3rd place.
Following the results of the championship, the command staff of the Combined Arms Army has awarded athletes and teams that took the places within the top three with honorary certificates, diplomas, and cups.
