A solemn Military Oath taking ceremony for newly enrolled cadets was held at the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev of the National Defense University.
The ceremony was attended by the management of the National Defense University and the military institute, servicemen of the Ministry of Defense, military personnel, teachers, parents, as well as public and media representatives.
First, accompanied by a Military Orchestra, the Battle Flag of the military institute was solemnly brought to the parade ground.
The memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the independence of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence.
The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
Speaking at the solemn ceremony, the rector of the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev, Major General Fizuli Salahov congratulated the cadets and their parents on the occasion of the significant day, wished the cadets to be courageous sons of the Azerbaijani people and worthy officers, as well as stand bravely in the defense of the Motherland.
Cadets solemnly took the oath of allegiance to the Motherland and marched in front of the podium.
Then the parents got acquainted with the training and education conditions, living conditions, created for the cadets at the military institute, and the territory.
