On the occasion of the beginning of the training year, the Military Oath taking ceremony was held for cadets newly admitted to special educational institutions which train military personnel.
The event was attended by the staff of the Azerbaijan Military Academy named after Heydar Aliyev, parents and public representatives. The memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the Shehids (Martyrs) who sacrificed their lives for the independence of Azerbaijan was honored with observing a minute of silence.
Then the cadets took an oath of allegiance to the Motherland in the parade ground.
The speakers at the ceremony advised the cadets to be loyal to the Motherland, the state and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, serve in an exemplary, disciplined manner, constantly learn the secrets of weapons and equipment, and improve their combat skills ,as well as timely and accurately follow the orders of the commanding staff.
