A Military Oath-taking ceremony for young soldiers called up for active military service in April was held in the Combined Arms Army.

During the ceremony, the blessed memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids was honored. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.

The young soldiers swore to defend the interests, territorial integrity, and independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the cost of their lives.

The servicemen and soldiers’ parents, who spoke at the ceremony, wished the young soldiers to be disciplined, honest and courageous in the military service, to study the weapons and equipment entrusted to them, and honorably fulfill their military duty to the Motherland.

Deputy Commander of the Combined Arms Army, Major General Mahammad Hasanov stated that the establishment and development of the modern Azerbaijan Army are associated with the name of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, whose 100th anniversary of the birth we are celebrating today. After the return of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev to power in Azerbaijan in 1993 at the people's request, a powerful army was formed in the shortest time, and the Azerbaijan Army passed a long way of development and became the strongest force in the region.

It was noted that the work started by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the field of army development, as well as the national security policy, is being successfully continued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

Major General Mahammad Hasanov expressed confidence that the young soldiers participating in the Military Oath-taking ceremony will always be faithful to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s ideas and will honorably fulfill their military duty to the Motherland, people, and state.

After the speeches, the military personnel solemnly marched in front of the podium, after which the Military Oath-taking ceremony ended.
