The Republican scientific-practical conference on the topic “Azerbaijan in the post-war period: new approaches in army building and perspectives” was organized by the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev of the National Defense University.
The conference was attended by professors and teachers of various higher and special educational institutions, representatives of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Culture.
First , the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and Shehids (Martyrs) who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The event focused on the organizational work, subject and importance of the conference, the relevance of the subject of the accepted scientific articles for publication, as well as the cooperation of the military educational institution with other higher educational institutions.
It was noted that the main objective of the conference is the development of military science and other fields of science, investigation of topical issues in the sphere of army building,  as well as improvement of the level of combat training of troops and the quality of officer training .
The organizing committee accepted subject related scientific articles out of more than 90 submitted ones.
In the end, scientific reports were heard and discussions were held.
