On June 24, the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev of the National Defense University held a solemn ceremony dedicated to the graduation of 2023.
The leadership of the National Defense University, representatives of the Defense Ministry, personnel of the military institute, teachers, graduates, parents, as well as public and media representatives took part in the graduation ceremony.
First, the monument of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in front of the headquarters of the military institute, and the Shehids’ Memorial Complex were visited and roses were laid. The memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the independence of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence.
At the event, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan accompanied by the military orchestra was performed, the Battle Flag was brought to the parade ground.
The rector of the National Defense University, Professor, Lieutenant General Heydar Piriyev greeted the ceremony participants and congratulated the young officers on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense. He wished them to be worthy officers for the Azerbaijani people, state, glorious army and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
Lieutenant General H. Piriyev highlighted the positive results of the reforms carried out in the field of army development, the work done to increase servicemen’s fighting spirit, moral-psychological support, improve social and living conditions, as well as about the participation of the Military Institute’s graduates in the 44-day Patriotic War.
The young officers, in their turn, expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense for the attention and care, as well as promised to serve the Motherland, the state and the people with dignity.
Then the distinguished graduates of the military educational institution were awarded diplomas and gifts.
A solemn ceremony was held to hand over and receive the Battle Flag of the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev. The emblems were attached to the symbolic stump.
The Lyceum’s march was performed by Military Orchestra and cadets. The military personnel solemnly marched in front of the podium.
