On September 10, military oath-taking ceremonies of newly admitted cadets to the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev of the National Defense University and the Military Medical Faculty of the Azerbaijan Medical University was held.
The ceremony was attended by the leadership and personnel of the National Defense University, Military Institute, Military Medical Faculty, representatives of the Defense Ministry, public and mass media, servicemen, teachers, parents, as well as other guests.
During the oath-taking ceremonies, the Battle Flag was brought to the parade ground in accompaniment of military orchestra.
First, the memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The speakers sincerely congratulated the cadets and their parents on the occasion of the significant day, wished the military personnel to be worthy servicemen of the Azerbaijani people, to be loyal to the Motherland, the people and the military oath.
Then the cadets solemnly took the oath of loyalty to the Motherland and marched in front of the podium.
In the end, the parents got acquainted with the training process, living conditions and the military educational institutions’ territory.
