On January 7, a memorial ceremony was conducted at the Second Alley of Honour to commemorate a military pilot of the Azerbaijan Air Force, Lieutenant Colonel Rashad Atakishiyev.
The event, attended by Air Force personnel, the Martyr's family members, and media representatives, included a visit to the grave of Lieutenant Colonel Rashad Atakishiyev. Participants paid their respects by laying flowers at the grave and honoring his memory with profound reverence.   
During the ceremony, Major General Hasan Alovsadov highlighted the honorable combat path, patriotism, and professionalism of Lieutenant Colonel Rashad Atakishiyev, noting that he serves as an example for aspiring young pilots.
It was emphasized that the memory of Lieutenant Colonel Rashad Atakishiyev will forever remain etched in the hearts of the Azerbaijani people with enduring honor.
The family members of the Martyr expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the leadership of the Defense Ministry for the extended attention and support.
