A meeting on the topic "Assessment of the possibilities of the Hydrographic Service in the Republic of Azerbaijan" between the representatives of the Navigation and Cartography Department of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan and the Technical Support Team of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) was held in Baku.
During the event, held with an aim to accelerate the process of Azerbaijan's membership in the IHO, the work carried out in this sphere was discussed.
The guests have been provided with briefings on hydrographic and hydrometeorological activities, as well as demonstrated the possibilities of modern technical equipment available in the Department. All the questions they are interested in were also answered.
Within the framework of the visit, the representatives of the IHO Technical Support Team have also met with the command of the Azerbaijan's Naval Forces, got acquainted with navigation, hydrographic and hydrometeorological equipment, and exchanged experience with military seamen.
