On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Special Forces, a meeting was held with servicemen retired and resigned from the units and subunits under a military unit.
First, flowers were laid at the bust to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the monument of the Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
Prior the event, the memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Shehids (Martyrs) who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of the Motherland was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The congratulations of the Azerbaijan Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and the Commander of the Special Forces on the occasion of the 25th anniversary were delivered to the participants.
The speakers highlighted the invaluable services of Special Forces in the April battles, the Patriotic War, and other operations. The participants expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev and the leadership of the Defense Ministry for the attention, care and trust shown.
The participants of the event were shown a video about the history of the formation of the military unit and its glorious combat path.
At the end, songs glorifying patriotism were performed by the soloists of the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov, and a photo was taken.
