According to the training plan of the Land Forces for 2023, Greco-Roman, freestyle wrestling and judo championships dedicated to the memory of the Shehids (Martyrs) of the Patriotic War are held among military personnel.
First, the championship drawing procedure was held, the objectives of the competition and safety rules were delivered.
At the opening ceremony of the championship, the memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of the Motherland, was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The speakers of the ceremony, spoke about the importance of such events to maintain a high level of physical fitness and combat training of the servicemen. They wished the athletes success.
It was noted that 40 athletes in 7 teams compete in the competitions held at the sports complex.
It should be noted that the competitions led by international and Republican referees of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation will last until June 23.
