A group of Azerbaijan Naval Forces personnel participated as observers in KURTARAN-2025 Submarine Escape & Rescue Exercise held in Marmaris, Türkiye.
According to the exercise plan, tasks on the search for the wrecked submarine by search and rescue vessels using special equipment and robots, the provision of food and medicine to the drowning crew via rescue divers, and their rescue with the use of special equipment were completed.
As part of the exercise, search and rescue operations involving helicopters and aircraft were also conducted. Parachute jumps into the sea were performed from aircraft, necessary supplies were airdropped to the wrecked vessel’s crew requiring assistance at sea, and the evacuation of crew were carried out.
