As a result of immediate measures taken under instructions of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, at about 17.00 the fire was localized and prevented from spreading to other places, the blasts were prevented from spreading.
At present, the engineering units of the Ministry of Defense, as well as the relevant structures of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action continue to respond appropriately on detection and neutralization of scattered fragments as a result of the explosion, unexploded ordnance remained in the territory.
Five civilians who received minor injuries as a result of the incident were discharged from Siyazan District Treatment and Diagnostics Center after receiving necessary treatment. Another person is still under medical examination at the hospital. There have not been any severe injuries or casualties during the incident
In addition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has restored the safe movement of cars on the Baku-Guba highway.
According to the instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, actions are being taken to accommodate the population in safe places, as well as supply them with the necessary means for living and household provision.
The residents of the village who were evacuated from the places located in the vicinity of the scene of the incident have already been returned to their permanent places of residence.
