A farewell ceremony was held on February 6 for soldier Chingiz Gurbanov, who had become a shehid (martyr) during preventing enemy’s provocation at the Azerbaijan-Armenia border on December 29, 2016.
During the farewell ceremony organized at the Training and Education Center of the Armed Forces, Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, Deputy Minister of Defence – Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Colonel General Najmeddin Sadikov, Head of the State Security Service Lieutenant General Madat Guliyev, Military Prosecutor Lieutenant General of justice Khanlar Valiyev expressed condolences to the parents and relatives of martyr.
The soldier will be laid to rest in his hometown of Gusar.
