With regard to the execution of the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on declaring 2023 as the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in Azerbaijan, the activities held in the Azerbaijan Army in accordance with the plan approved by the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov are underway.
During the events, the memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and Shehids (Martyrs) who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of the Motherland was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
In order to maintain the combat readiness of military personnel at a high level, as well as to effectively organize the leisure time of servicemen, events were held in various military units with the participation of art representatives and regional cultural departments’ teams.
In addition, a group of military personnel visited the Heydar Aliyev Center in Tartar region, where they were given detailed information about the honorable life path and activities of the Great Leader.
