An event on the anniversary of one of the military units' establishment was held.
First, the memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan accompanied by the military orchestra was performed.
The Defense Minister’s congratulation on the occasion of the significant day was conveyed to the military personnel.
The speakers spoke about the history of the establishment of the military unit, its war path in the Patriotic War and the assigned tasks.
It was brought to attention that the combat capability of the Azerbaijan Army has been further increased as a result of the reforms carried out under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
It was noted that as a result of the attention and care of the head of state, important steps are being taken to ensure comprehensive provision of the units stationed in the liberated territories, organization of military service and improvement of social and living conditions, as well as to maintain the combat readiness of personnel at a high level.
Then a group of distinguished military personnel was awarded.
Music pieces glorifying patriotism were presented in the artistic part of the event.
