CSKA athletes added two more medals to the assets of our team at the 7th Military World Games held in Wuhan, China.
Rafig Huseynov defeated the Ukrainian Alexander Shishman in the first match, then won the South Korean Sangyeok Park in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, R. Huseynov won the Russian wrestler Evgeni Saleev, who he lost to during the First European Games in Baku four years ago. In the finals, our wrestler lost to Hungarian Viktor Lorints and took second place in the competition.
Our other wrestler Hasan Aliyev (77 kg) defeated the Armenian Varuzhan Grigoryan in the 1/8 finals and the Ukrainian Dmitry Pishkov in the 1/4 finals. In the semifinals, our wrestler has defeated the 2017 world champion, Serbian Victor Nemes, and reached the final. In the finals, which took place in the conditions of intense wrestling, H. Aliyev lost to Iranian Peyman Poshtam and completed the competition in second place.
Thus, at the competitions held in China, the Azerbaijani team has 5 medals – two are silver and three are bronze.
