The Command-Staff Exercises with the involvement of several military formations and units, which were conducted in accordance with the Plan for the combat coordination of the troops of Nakhchivan garrison for 2020, were completed.
During the exercises, military personnel reception points were deployed to recruit mobilization resources for formation and units, as well as the practical admission of military personnel with demanded specialties, was completed.
Due to the integrated use of mobile, stationary and auxiliary communication centers, including rebroadcasting points, a widespread field communication system of the army was established and the exchange of all types of information between command posts was provided.
In the snowy areas with difficult terrain features, tank units and anti-aircraft mounts of the first echelon at a long-distance over open sights carried out fire attack at the enemy in various directions.
At night, our units repelled an attack of the imaginary enemy. However, tactical groups formed from the military personnel of mechanized and motorized rifle units passed into a counterattack with the support of the Rocket and Artillery and air defense units, have destroyed the enemy, who managed to march on deep into the company’s strongpoint in certain directions, and restored the lost positions at advantageous frontiers.
Tactical landing troops were deployed on the dominant heights of the terrain not allowing the enemy, whose armored vehicles were destroyed by our anti-tank units, to retreat in due order.
The aviation units, making practical flights, simulated airstrikes at the firing positions of the artillery division and areas of deployment of command posts of the imaginary enemy. Air defense units carried out practical activities to detect, track and destroy aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles of the imaginary enemy, as well as fired from portable anti-aircraft missile systems.
Heavy trucks transported tank units from one direction to another to strengthen the fire support of units repelling the enemy’s attacks in other directions.
The professional medical personnel of the mobile medical group deployed on the terrain provided first aid to the wounded on the battlefield and organized their evacuation.
At the last stage of the Command-Staff Exercises, the activity of formations and units, the reality of decisions and calculations were evaluated during the exercise conducted on the computers at the Simulation Center of the Nakhchivan garrison.
During summarizing the results of the exercises, it was noted that tasks were quickly and efficiently accomplished in conditions of limited visibility, the interoperability and comprehensive provision of units were provided, as well as weapons and military equipment were successfully used at night.
