Bilateral Command-Staff Exercises of the Nakhchivan garrison troops continue. The Exercise Director, Chief of the Nakhchivan garrison, Lieutenant General Kerem Mustafayev has involved additional forces in the exercises, that complicated the operational situation for the headquarters.
The use of communications in active electronic warfare conditions was tested during the exercises, where the exchange of information between command posts is ensured by the integrated use of all types of communications.
In accordance with the staffs' decisions, combined arms units, missile and artillery units, air defense units, and other types of troops carry out redeployment tasks. Reconnaissance and special forces units work out joint reconnaissance-sabotage operations in the areas of concentration and deployment.
The safe movement of troops during the transfer of forces and means from one direction to another is provided by the commandant service. The maneuvering capabilities of the units and the accuracy of the calculations are checked.
The Command-Staff Exercises will last until May 22.
