On the occasion of the upcoming Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, visited the Heydar Aliyev Military Institute and met with the officers, cadets, and academic staff of the institution.
To begin the visit, flowers were laid at the statue of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and at the Memorial Complex dedicated to the Shehids, honoring their memory with deep respect.
Speaking about the successful reforms implemented under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, Colonel General Valiyev emphasized the positive impact of international military experience and modern technological advancements on the development of military science and education in the Azerbaijani Army.
Colonel General K. Valiyev also highlighted the remarks made by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan during the opening ceremony of the "Azerbaijan" residential complex in Kahramanmaraş, Türkiye, underlining that the strategic alliance between the two brotherly countries is built on deep-rooted friendship and fraternal relations and continues to develop at a high level.
Addressing the cadets studying at the military institute, Colonel General K. Valiyev advised them to continuously work on self-improvement and pay special attention to their professional training to develop as competent officers, and he wished them success in their service.
At the end of the visit, the Minister of Defense’s instructions regarding the improvement of the quality of education were conveyed to the leadership of the military educational institution, and specific directives were issued to the relevant responsible personnel.
