As part of the visit to the Republic of Belarus, the First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Colonel General Najmeddin Sadikov has met with the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces – First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus Major General Oleg Belokonev.
The official welcoming ceremony was held in the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus. The chiefs of the general staff have passed in front of the guard of honor, then the National Anthems of the two states were performed.
Major General O. Belokonev, having greeted the guests, stressed that Belarus attaches particular importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan in all areas, particularly in the military sphere, adding that there are wide opportunities for further development of military-technical cooperation between the two countries.
Colonel General N. Sadikov has expressed satisfaction with his visit to Belarus, and emphasized the importance of such meetings and expansion of relations in strengthening the Azerbaijani-Belarusian military cooperation.
During the meeting, the sides thoroughly analyzed the actions aimed at strengthening current cooperation and mutual trust between Azerbaijan and Belarus, as well as noted the contributions of the two states to regional security.
