The regular meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) took place in Baku on October 30.
The meeting considered the Concept of military cooperation of the CIS countries until 2025 and the main directions of development of the Joint System for Monitoring and Assessment of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Situation of the Ministries of Defense of the CIS Member States until 2025.
In addition, the meeting discussed the results of the International Army Games-2019, the issues of training officers for the armed forces of the CIS member states, the conducting "Start to Science" International Festival of Innovative Scientific Ideas and preparations for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
At the same time, the results of the development of military cooperation of the CIS member states in 2019 were discussed and the Work Plan of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS member states for 2020 was outlined.
The meeting also discussed ongoing military cooperation and other upcoming issues.
