Azerbaijani wrestler wins bronze medal of the Military World Games

The 7th Military World Games conducted in Wuhan, China continue.
On October 23, another Azerbaijani athlete M. Rakhmanov won a medal in Greco-Roman wrestling. Having become the winner of the first stage due to the unexcused absence of the Syrian Abdulkerim Al-Hasan on the wrestling mat, in the quarter-finals, our compatriot became stronger than the French wrestler Mamadasa Silla. However, in the semifinal, M. Rakhmanov lost his match against Russian wrestler, world champion and two-time European champion Artem Surkov. In the fight for third place, our Greco-Roman wrestler has won in a principled fight against the Armenian wrestler, the silver medalist of the last youth world wrestling championship Shant Khachatryan, and awarded a bronze medal of the Military World Games.
This is the 3rd medal won by the Azerbaijani team of CSKA in competitions held in the People's Republic of China.
It should be noted that Mahir Amiraslanov (57 kg) and Agahuseyn Mustafayev (74 kg) in the freestyle wrestling competitions, Tatyana Vorontsova (53 kg) in the women's wrestling competitions, as well as Murad Bazarov (60 kg) in the Greco-Roman wrestling, have completed their performance without medals. Our two Greco-Roman style wrestlers – Hasan Aliyev (77 kg) and Rafig Huseynov (87 kg) will go on the wrestling mat on October 24.
