The teams of the countries participating in the "Sea Cup" contest, held as part of the "International Army Games-2022" in Azerbaijan competed in friendly volleyball matches.
First, the memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the Azerbaijani lands, was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan accompanied by a military orchestra was performed.
Then a drawing procedure was held with the participation of members of the Board of Referees and team captains.
The first match was held between Iranian and Kazakh military seamen. The Iranian team won the match.
The next match took place between Azerbaijani and Russian military seamen. The Azerbaijani team reached the final stage by winning the match.
In the third-place match, the Kazakh military seamen won against the Russian team.
In a tense final match, Azerbaijani military seamen won against the Iranian team and rose to the highest step of the pedestal.
In the end, the teams were awarded cups, medals, and honorary certificates.
