On May 15, Minister of Defence of Azerbaijan Republic, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov met with being on an official visit to our country Minister of Defence of Georgia Mrs. Tinatin Khidasheli.
At the meeting, held with the participation of delegations, the Minister of Defenсe, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, welcoming guests in the ancient Gabala region of Azerbaijan, emphasized the strategic importance of the ongoing negotiations and meetings between the two countries. Speaking about the accelerated development of military cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Z.Gasanov noted that these relations will continue.
Expressing satisfaction with her first visit to Gabala city, Georgian Defence Minister thanked for high hospitality.
Sides exchanged views on military and political situation in the region and other issues of mutual interest.
Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mr. Teimuraz Sharashenidze took part in the meeting.
