28 May – the Armed Forces Day of Spain. The Span's King Philip VI, the Defence Minister Pedro Morenes, Minister of the Interior Jorge Fernandez Diaz, and other officials, as well as visiting this country, Azerbaijani Defence Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov have attended military parade ceremony marking Spain's Armed Forces Day.
After the demonstration of different combat arms of Spanish army King Philip VI met with Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov who has been invited to the parade by the Minister of Defence Pedro Morenes. At the meeting, Minister Zakir Hasanov conveyed warm greetings and congratulations from Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev to the King on the occasion of Armed Forces Day. The Defence Minister noted satisfaction with the visit to Spain and expressed his appreciation for the organization of high-level visit.
Congratulated the Azerbaijani people on May 28 – with the Republic Day and wished prosperity to them, King Philip VI, in turn, asked to convey his greetings to the President Ilham Aliyev.
