Under the plan approved by the Azerbaijan Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, the Azerbaijan Army held a series of celebratory events on February 2, marking the Day of Azerbaijani Youth.
The events commenced with a tribute to the bright memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
Within the events, it was underscored that the solemn celebration of Youth Day is associated with the name of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and stressed that after the return of the National Leader to power for the second time, he laid the foundation of the state youth policy in Azerbaijan, which is successfully continued today by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
As part of the celebrations, performances were presented by creative ensembles from Hazi Aslanov Army Ideological and Cultural Center, Ganja Garrison Ideological and Cultural Center, and regional cultural departments.
