Events on the occasion of Gurban Bayram were held in the types of troops, army corps, formations and special educational institutions of the Azerbaijan Army.
First, the memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and Shehids, who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The congratulations of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and the Azerbaijan Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, on the occasion of Gurban Bayram, were conveyed to the military personnel.
A feast of the sacrifice was held with the participation of servicemen, and festive tables were served for them.
At the events, it was emphasized that Azerbaijan is a humanistic and tolerant state that respects and gives importance to Islamic and national-moral values.
Videos and documentaries highlighting the national-moral values of the Azerbaijani people and beauty of Islam religion were presented to the military personnel.
Under the instruction of the Defense Minister, the graves of Shehids, their family members and soldiers who lost their health during the battles were visited in Baku, as well as in other regions of our republic, congratulations of the Defense Ministry’s leadership were conveyed and festive gifts were presented to them.
