According to the instruction of the Minister of Defense, a series of events on the occasion of June 1 - International Day for Protection of Children were held in military units and special educational institutions of the Azerbaijan Army.
At the events, the memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
On the occasion of the holiday, the families of Shehids and ghazis were visited, children’s visits to military units and meetings with soldiers were organized, as well as a concert program was presented by the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov, the Ideological and Cultural Center of the Ganja Garrison and cultural houses of districts.
