The Azerbaijan Army jointly with the representatives of the local executive authorities and public structures held several events on the occasion of the 28 May – Independence Day.
The events included classes on socio-political training for servicemen, round tables, conferences, excursions, exhibitions of books, photographs, and pictures, as well as demonstration of documentaries and feature films.
At the same time, the monuments to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the National Heroes of Azerbaijan and the Heroes of the Soviet Union, the Alleys of Shehids (Martyrs), as well as historical museums were visited.
Speakers at a number of events spoke about the history of the declaration of independence of Azerbaijan in 1918 and the restoration of independence of Azerbaijan.
It was noted that the state independence and international positions of Azerbaijan strengthened as a result of the successful domestic and foreign policy of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, whose 100th anniversary of birth we solemnly celebrate this year.
It was emphasized that thanks to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, who successfully continues the wise policy of the National Leader, Azerbaijan is steadily developing.
Literary and artistic compositions by the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov, the Ideological and Cultural Center of the Ganja Garrison, various patriotic music pieces were presented in military units. Moreover, mobile propaganda teams operated in units stationed in the liberated units.
