Azerbaijan and Türkiye broaden experience exchange in the field of science and education

The First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev met with a delegation led by Deputy Rector of the Turkish National Defense University, Professor Talat Canbolat.
Within the framework of Foreign Study Trip, the guests visited the graves of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva in the Alley of Honor, as well as the Alley of Martyrs and Turkish Martyrs' Cemetery. The guests laid flowers and paid tribute to their bright memory.
At the meeting held at General Staff of Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General K.Valiyev welcomed the guests and expressed satisfaction with seeing them in Azerbaijan.
The Chief of the General Staff emphasized that the relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, based on common history, culture, and values, play an important role in ensuring the security and development of both fraternal countries. He stated that Azerbaijani-Turkish cooperation, which has risen to the level of strategic partnership, contributes to stability and prosperity in the region. The Deputy Minister highlighted that, as in other fields, the expansion of relations in the field of military education creates broad opportunities for the implementation of innovative projects.
Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality, Professor T.Canbolat emphasized the positive impact of mutual visits and meetings on further expanding cooperation between the two countries in the field of military education. He highlighted the importance of scientific knowledge and experience exchange.
Afterwards, the Turkish delegation met with the Adviser to the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Bahtiyar Ersay.
During the meeting, a detailed exchange of views on joint projects focused on the training of professional personnel was held, and a number of other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
