Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov received today the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Ms. Carole Crofts.
Defense Minister congratulated the guest with new appointment and wished success in her new position.
During the meeting, sides discussed the political and military situation in the region and other issues of mutual interest, and expressed satisfaction with the level of the Azerbaijani-British relations. The importance of expanding cooperation between the armed forces and the implementation of agreements reached in the field of military education were emphasized.
Defense Minister expressed his hope that during the activity of Ambassador the cooperation between the two countries in the military sphere will grow even more.
British diplomat, in her turn, said that she would make every effort to deepen relations.
