On January 14, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov has met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan Junichi Wada.
The Minister of Defense, especially noting the efforts aimed at strengthening cooperation and mutual trust between Azerbaijan and Japan in many spheres, wished the Ambassador success in his diplomatic activities.
Expressing satisfaction with the beginning of the diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan, the Ambassador stressed that he will make every effort in the development of Azerbaijani-Japanese relations, including the cooperation in the field of defense.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of defense between the two countries, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
