A sudden inspection of the artillery and mortar units of the first echelon of the Combined Arms Army was carried out. During the inspections, the units raised by the alert moved to the areas of firing positions and command-observation posts and were brought into the state of readiness for combat use.
In the course of carrying out planned and unscheduled fire missions, combat firing was conducted at targets. Then, artillery and mortar units have relocated to reserve firing positions and command-observation posts and destroyed the newly discovered targets.
During the sudden inspection, the main attention was paid to the fulfilling combat missions by the units, the implementing functional duties by servicemen and the improvement of the practical skills of military personnel in special training.
