Army championship in volleyball held in accordance with the training plan for 2023 at the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev has ended.
At the closing ceremony of the championship, the memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids (Martyrs) who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honoured with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan accompanied by military orchestra was performed.
The speakers congratulated the winning teams and wished them success in their future activities, and emphasized the importance of such sports competitions in maintaining a high level of physical fitness of military personnel.
It was noted that 7 teams representing different types of troops and special educational institutions competed in the championship.
According to the final results, the team of the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev took the first place. The Land Forces and Air Force teams ranked second and third, respectively.
In the end, diplomas, cups and medals were presented to the winning teams, and a photo was taken.
