An orienteering competition was held among the servicemen

In accordance with the Land Forces’ training plan for the 2022 training year, an orienteering competition was held among the servicemen.
First, the memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence.
The servicemen were given instructions before the start of the competition. It was noted that the main objectives of the competition are to increase the endurance of servicemen and improve their skills in using compasses and maps.
38 servicemen from 7 teams competed in the competition. Participants covered the designated distance and fulfilled tasks of determining the targets indicated on the map. According to the terms of the competition, male servicemen identified 10 control points at a distance of 4 km, and female servicemen identified 8 control points at a distance of 3 km.
The members of the board of referees consisting of representatives of the Land Forces and the Azerbaijan Orienteering Federation determined the winners of the competition.
The winners were awarded honorary certificates, cups, and medals.
