An event on the anniversary of one of the military units' establishment was held.
First, the memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of the Motherland, was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
Representative of the Ministry of Defense, Major General A. Aliyev, welcomed the participants and guests of the event. It was noted that the military unit participated in many successful military operations since its establishment. The military unit worthily accomplished the combat tasks assigned during the First Karabakh War and Patriotic War.
At the event, it was emphasized that the policy in the field of army development, assigned by national leader Heydar Aliyev, is being successfully continued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
At the end of the event, a group of servicemen who distinguished themselves in military service and are well-disciplined was awarded, and a literary-artistic composition was presented to the event participants by schoolchildren.
