An event dedicated to the Khojaly genocide was held at the Training and Educational Center

A remembrance ceremony on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the Khojaly genocide was held at the Training and Educational Center of the Azerbaijan Army.
First, the memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, as well as victims of Khojaly genocide, was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
Then a video dedicated to the Khojaly genocide was shown.
The speakers of the remembrance ceremony spoke about the tortures and crimes committed by Armenian military formations during the attack on the city of Khojaly with the participation of the 366th regiment of the former Soviet army on the night of February 25-26, 1992.
It was noted that for the first time the Khojaly genocide was given a legal and political assessment at the initiative of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. It was also emphasized that the Khojaly tragedy, which is one of the most terrible crimes of the 20th century, is recognized as an act of genocide in many countries and cities of the world due to international campaigns and the policy implemented by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev, as well as the campaign "Justice for Khojaly!" implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
It was brought to attention that during the 44-day Patriotic War, the brave servicemen of the Azerbaijan Army under the command of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief avenged the victims of Khojaly and all Shehids (Martyrs) on the battlefield.
