An event dedicated to Air Force Day was held - VIDEO

On February 14, the Military History Museum of Azerbaijan organized an event called “The role of air hawks in the victory gained in the Patriotic War” at the Training and Educational Center of the Azerbaijan Army.
Representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, special educational institutions and the public, as well as veteran pilots, who participated in the First Karabakh War, attended the event.
First, the memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and Shehids (Martyrs) who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of the Motherland was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
Colonel Elshad Panakhov congratulated the military personnel on a significant day on behalf of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, and Deputy Minister of Defense - Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Ramiz Tahirov, and wished them success in their future service.
Heroes of the Patriotic War Major General Namig Islamzade and Colonel Rashad Nadirov spoke about the establishment of the Air Force, reforms carried out in the field of army development under the leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, piloting skills of Azerbaijani pilots, as well as the heroism and bravery of the servicemen of the Air Force demonstrated in the war.
Other speakers noted that thanks to the attention and care of the President, significant work has been done to improve the combat and psychological readiness of personnel, strengthen the logistics of air bases, and further improve social and living conditions of the flight crew and technical personnel.
It was noted that the Air Force personnel are ready to carry out any battle order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief at any time, as in the Patriotic War.
Then a short film about the Air Force was shown.
The event ended with a concert program presented by the staff of the Army Ideological and  Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov.
