A meeting in trilateral format between the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Hulusi Akar and the Minister of Defense of Georgia Mr. Levan Izoria began on June 12 at the Heydar Aliyev Congress Center.
Before the meeting, the Defense Ministers have visited a monument to the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev erected in the center of Gabala as well as the graves of the heroic sons of the Motherland in the Alley of Martyrs, who died in the struggle for independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, paid a tribute and laid flowers to them.
During the meeting, discussion of the military-political situation in the region, as well as the issues of development of military cooperation in a trilateral format, ensuring the security of regional projects will be held. The sides will also hold a broad exchange of views on other aspects of mutual interest in the field of trilateral military cooperation.
