According to the action plan for the current year, a series of events were held in the military units of the Ministry of Defense on the occasion of the Novruz holiday.
As part of the events, servicemen visited the graves of our Shehids (Martyrs) and met with their families.
At the meetings, the servicemen emphasized that the Azerbaijani state always pays tribute to the memory of the Shehids, and asked about the concerns of their families.
Shehid families emphasized that the victory in the Patriotic War brought great joy to the Azerbaijani people and expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense for attention and care.
During the events, the memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and Shehids (Martyrs) who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
Speakers at the events noted that the arrival of spring is celebrated joyfully and solemnly in our country.
It was stressed that the Novruz holiday, which originated in ancient times and is one of our national and spiritual values, is highly appreciated by our nation and the state. Speakers also spoke about the importance of preserving the Novruz holiday and passing it on to future generations.
Concert programs with the participation of the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov, the Ideological and Cultural Center of the Ganja Garrison, representatives of culture and art, as well as teams of regional cultural departments were presented at the festive events.
