On July 31, a press conference was held in connection with the start of the "Sea Cup-2018" international contest, which takes place in Baku within the framework of the "International Army Games-2018" competitions.
During the press conference held with the participation of the heads of delegations of the participating countries, members of the Judicial Commission, as well as local and foreign journalists, it was reported that in total, 28 contests will be conducted within the framework of the "International Army Games-2018" competitions during the period from July 28 to August 11 in the territories of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Iran, and Russia.
Azerbaijani servicemen will take part in 5 contests. Along with the "Sea Cup" contest that to be held in our country, Azerbaijani servicemen will also participate in the competitions "Tank Biathlon" and "Field Kitchen" in Russia, "Masters of Artillery Fire" in Kazakhstan and "Sniper Frontier" in Belarus.
Also, our servicemen will represent our country in the contests "Depth" in Iran and "Army Scout Masters" in Russia as an observer.
Representatives of the armed forces of Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the United States will take part in the competition "Sea Cup-2018" as an observer.
Besides, during the press conference, the participants were fully informed about the entrance to the training facility and the exercising the stages and episodes of the contest.
After the press conference, a drawing procedure was held for the implementation of the stages and episodes of the "Sea Cup-2018" contest that is held within the framework of the "International Army Games-2018" competitions from August 1 to 10 in the territorial waters of Azerbaijan in the Caspian Sea.
Then, all questions of the media representatives have been answered, and the ships, specialized equipment, and weapons involved in the contest were inspected with the participation of journalists.
