The press conference on the completion of the "Sea Cup" contest, conducted as part of the "International Army Games-2022" in the territorial waters of Azerbaijan in the Caspian Sea, was held in the Naval Forces.
Heads of the delegations of the participating countries, members of the Board of Referees, and representatives of local and foreign media attended the press conference.
At the press conference, detailed information was provided about the conditions created for organizing and holding the contest at a high level, the work of the Board of Referees, and the performance of the participating countries' teams in fulfilling the stages and episodes of the contest.
It was noted that during the "Sea Cup" contest, the military seamen competed at the "Artillery shootings", "Struggle for survivability of the ship and the rescue training" and "Maritime training" stages, and the best crews were determined.
According to the final results of the Board of Referees' evaluation, Azerbaijani and Russian military seamen won the competition by scoring 225 points. The Kazakh team took second place with 208 points, and the Iranian team took third place with 178 points.
The Commander of the Azerbaijan Naval Forces, Rear Admiral Subhan Bakirov, emphasized that the "Sea Cup" international contest was held in Azerbaijan in a transparent manner and at a high level. Rear Admiral S. Bakirov highlighted that the international contest contributed to the development of partnership and friendship between the Caspian states.
The representatives of the participating countries, in turn, expressed their gratitude for creating the high-level conditions and emphasized that such an important contest was organized in Azerbaijan for the fifth time.

The closing ceremony of the "Sea Cup" contest and awarding of the winning teams will be held on August 25.
