A delegation led by Deputy Chief of the Main Department of Internal Security and Investigations of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Chief of the Military Police Department, Major General Elgun Aliyev paid a visit to Georgia. 
As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the monument to the National Leader in Heydar Aliyev Park in Tbilisi.
The Chief of the Department then met with the Chief of the Military Police Department of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia, Major General Shalva Shengelia. 
During the meeting, a wide exchange of views took place on the conduct of joint exercises and a number of other issues of mutual interest.
The Azerbaijani delegation was presented with a briefing on the Georgian Military Police and its main areas of activity.
Following the meeting, the delegation viewed weapons and equipment and observed live-fire exercises, including operations in buildings and measures for protecting high-ranking officials.
