A group of Azerbaijani peacekeepers sent to Afghanistan

A group of 42 Azerbaijani military personnel including 38 soldiers, 2 medical and 2 sapper officers sent to Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in accordance with the plan and rotation for serving within NATO-led "Resolute Support" mission launched in Afghanistan from January, 2015.
The peacekeeping contingent of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces has been serving under the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan since November 20, 2002.
Currently, a group of 90 servicemen, 2 medical and 2 sapper officers is participating in a peace-building mission in Afghanistan.
