A solemn graduation ceremony for 2021 was held at the Azerbaijan Military Academy named after Heydar Aliyev on June 25.
First, the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the Shehids (Martyrs) who sacrificed their lives for the independence of Azerbaijan was honored with observing a minute of silence.
The military personnel performed the National Anthem of Azerbaijan accompanied by a Military Orchestra, then the Battle Flag of the Military Academy was solemnly brought to the parade ground.
The Deputy Minister of Defense for Logistics – Chief of the Main Department of Logistics, Lieutenant General Nizam Osmanov, speaking at the ceremony, congratulated cadets on the occasion of this significant day on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and wished them success in the further military service.
In his speech, Lieutenant General N. Osmanov spoke about the reforms implemented in recent years in the field of army development, the increase of the level of combat and moral-psychological training of military personnel, the participation of officers and cadets of the Military Academy in the Patriotic War. He stressed that under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev the Patriotic War ended with victory, and our lands were liberated from occupation.
At the ceremony, orders and medals were presented to officers and cadets, who participated in Patriotic War and Shehids’ families.
Then, the distinguished graduates of Azerbaijan Military Academy were awarded diplomas and gifts.
A ceremony was held to hand over and receive the Battle Flag of the Military Academy and the emblem was attached to a symbolic stump.
After the cadets and Military Orchestra performed the Academy’s march, military personnel of the academy marched in front of the podium.
After the graduation ceremony, the military personnel of the Military Academy visited the Alley of Honor and the Alley of Shehids.
